Air Algerie has received its first Airbus A330-900, marking a significant milestone in its fleet expansion strategy. The aircraft arrived from Airbus' Toulouse facility to Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers, and will be integral to the airline's plans to establish new transatlantic and Asian routes.
Omar Ali Adib, senior vice president for customers at Rolls-Royce, highlighted the importance of the new aircraft, emphasizing its role in improving efficiency and supporting the airline's ambitions to expand its international presence. The airline has committed to acquiring seven more A330neos, with deliveries expected to continue through 2029.
The expansion aims to modernize Air Algerie's fleet and increase its capacity to meet increasing passenger demand. The delivery of these new aircraft will enable the airline to explore new markets and strengthen its position in Africa, Europe, and beyond, leveraging the capabilities of the Airbus A330neo.
