Garuda Indonesia achieved the highest OTP of 98.0%, consolidating its position as the most punctual airline worldwide. Asian airlines Cebgo and Fuji Dream followed closely, recording OTPs of 93.5% and 93.3%, respectively. Notably, Cebgo maintained an impeccable record with zero cancellations last month.
In the Latin American region, Copa Airlines improved its standing significantly, capturing the fourth position globally with a 93.0% OTP and demonstrating operational resilience with only 0.2% cancellations. The overall rankings highlight airlines' capacity to adhere to schedules, although some are facing operational difficulties.
Major Airline Performance
SAS Scandinavian Airlines led among major carriers, achieving an OTP of 89.1% across over 23,000 flights, with a modest 1.7% cancellation rate. Qantas and British Airways also registered strong performances, with OTPs of 87.8% and 85.8%, respectively. Within North America, Alaska Airlines surpassed other US majors with an OTP of 85.2%, while Delta ranked ninth with 83.6% OTP. Deutsche Lufthansa, however, struggled operationally, with a notably low OTP of 71.1%, accentuated by an 18.6% cancellation rate amid ongoing labor disputes.
In the large airline category, Copa Airlines maintained its leading position with a 93.0% OTP. Meanwhile, Wizz Air, a prominent low-cost carrier (LCC), achieved OTPs of 85.4% and 85.1% for Wizz Air Malta and Wizz Air, respectively.
