Bahrain International Airport (BAH) is set to boost its private aviation sector with a newly developed private jet terminal, aimed at attracting high-end travelers and international investors. The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), collaborating with Valo Aviation, has announced plans for a VIP terminal spanning 6,000 square meters, designed to accommodate contemporary business jets such as the Falcon 10X and Gulfstream G700.
This facility is part of Bahrain’s broader initiative to position itself as a prominent global air transport hub, promoting tourism and economic diversification. The new private jet terminal intends to separate luxury aircraft from commercial traffic, improving operational efficiency and privacy for elite clients, including celebrities, business executives, and royal families.
Valo Aviation has also expanded its fleet with the addition of the Dassault Falcon 8X, the first of its kind registered with Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs, reflecting the increasing appeal of Bahrain for private aviation investments. The project aligns with Bahrain’s environmental sustainability goals by incorporating green technologies, energy-efficient systems, and eco-friendly aviation practices.
Officials from Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications emphasized that the upgrade will offer premium services such as private lounges, customs clearance, and concierge assistance, significantly enhancing the travel experience. The establishment of this private jet hub is expected to attract more international visitors, support luxury tourism, and foster foreign direct investment, making Bahrain a key player in regional and global private aviation market.
