Boeing has announced the launch of its 2026 BUILD programme in Singapore, marking the first time the initiative is introduced in Southeast Asia. Developed in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), the programme aims to promote aerospace-focused innovation and talent development by engaging students, alumni, and early-stage entrepreneurs. The programme offers participants access to Boeing experts, mentors, and resources to develop real-world aerospace solutions. Penny Burtt, President of Boeing Southeast Asia, emphasized the company's commitment to nurturing regional aerospace talent and innovation through this initiative. NUS Senior Vice President Dr. Tan Sian Wee highlighted the opportunities for students and startups to gain practical insights and mentorship, turning prototypes into scalable impacts. The inaugural Singapore cohort will consist of ten finalist teams participating in an NUS-led bootcamp, with a final demonstration scheduled for May 2026. This strategic move positions Singapore as a regional hub for aerospace innovation, leveraging university partnerships to drive entrepreneurship and technological advancements in the industry.
