Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority has increased operational readiness across all airports in response to recent regional airspace closures caused by neighboring countries' decisions. Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny stated that flight operations are being closely monitored around the clock, with coordination maintained among key agencies including the Cairo Air Navigation Center, Cairo International Airport’s crisis management unit, EgyptAir’s Operations Control Center, and others.
The minister emphasized that all Egyptian airports are on high alert to accommodate diverted flights requiring rerouting and landing due to regional airspace restrictions. Egypt reassures that its airspace remains fully operational and capable of handling such reroutes, complying with international safety standards.
Operational decisions will continue to be made as necessary to ensure safety and passenger comfort amid potential disruptions. Egypt is also coordinating with civil aviation authorities of concerned countries to manage developments according to established protocols, ensuring the smooth and secure flow of air traffic within its airspace.
