Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has announced the relocation of its Asia Campus to a new state-of-the-art facility at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore. This strategic move aims to further integrate students into the regional aerospace ecosystem, supporting Southeast Asia's growing aviation industry.
Founded over a century ago in Cincinnati, Ohio, Embry-Riddle has grown from a local flight-training operation into a global leader in aviation and aerospace education. The university established its presence in Singapore in 2011, recognizing the region's emerging aerospace markets, and has since expanded its programs and partnerships, including collaboration with the Singapore Aviation Academy.
The 2024 relocation to Seletar marks a significant milestone. The new campus serves as a hub for aerospace maintenance, design, manufacturing, and training activities, positioning Embry-Riddle to play a vital role in developing the region's aerospace talent pool. As part of its ongoing growth, the university has conferred over 1,000 degrees in Southeast Asia, with a continually expanding alumni network leading innovation across the industry.
"By establishing ourselves at Seletar, we are directly engaging with the aerospace industry and preparing the pioneers of tomorrow," stated Matthew Flaherty, vice chancellor and head of Asia. As the university looks toward the future, its focus remains on advancing aerospace education and fostering technological innovation in the region.
