Dubai-based Emirates airline announced plans to introduce its Airbus A350 aircraft to Montreal, Canada, beginning 1 February 2026, replacing the existing Boeing 777 services. The airline has indicated that if Airbus delivers the aircraft ahead of schedule, it may accelerate the deployment date.
The new A350 service will operate daily flights between Dubai and Montreal, with flight EK243 departing Dubai at 0245 and arriving in Montreal at 0735. The return flight EK244 will depart Montreal at 1040, arriving back in Dubai at 0800 the following day. This move marks a significant upgrade for Canadian passengers, offering new cabin features including Premium Economy, alongside Business and Economy class cabins.
Emirates considers this a milestone for Canada, complementing its existing Airbus A380 service to Toronto and Montreal. The airline's strategic cabin configuration includes 32 business class seats arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 premium-economy seats, and 238 economy seats. The airline also benefits from partnerships with Air Canada, allowing seamless onward travel within Canada and to other destinations.
Additionally, Emirates confirmed during the Dubai Airshow that it has ordered eight more Airbus A350-900 aircraft, boosting its total commitment to 73 units, with approximately 60 still pending delivery. This order aligns with its broader plans to enhance its widebody fleet, reflecting a long-standing relationship with Airbus that dates back to 2007.
