The upcoming winter season has seen a substantial increase in airline seat availability for Rhodes and Thessaloniki, led by growth from Germany, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. Rhodes experienced a remarkable 41.9% rise in international flight positions, with major contributions from the UK, Germany, and Israel, which more than doubled the available seats with a 106.2% increase. Thessaloniki's international flight seats also expanded significantly, particularly from Israel, increasing by 129.3%, and from Turkey with a 48.7% growth. These enhancements in connectivity are driven by airline strategic expansions aimed at capturing the growing interest in winter sun, city tourism, and leisure travel. Both destinations are diversifying their markets and boosting their appeal as year-round travelers seek warmer climates and unique experiences during the colder months, signaling a promising outlook for the regional travel industry.
