Regional growth and strategic partnerships
LATAM Airlines Group has shown strong performance by carrying 87.4 million passengers in 2025 and expanding routes across South America, supported by its fleet investments including Embraer and Airbus aircraft. Meanwhile, WestJet's focus on Calgary International Airport as a global hub has resulted in increased service to Latin America, the Caribbean, and transatlantic markets, especially after acquiring Sunwing Airlines.
"These finalists exemplify the innovation and collaboration necessary for the region's air service growth," said [official spokesperson].
The winners will be honored during the Routes Americas Networking Evening in Rio de Janeiro, a key event for industry leaders to celebrate achievements and discuss future opportunities in the region's air transport sector.
