IndiGo, India's leading airline, has announced the cancellation of all domestic flights departing from Delhi and Mumbai, exacerbating an ongoing operational crisis. The airline has also canceled hundreds of flights from Bengaluru, Goa, and other cities, citing disruptions caused by new pilot rest rules, technology glitches, and planning gaps. The situation has led to passengers being stranded at airports for hours with minimal communication, food, or water.

The airline reported that all domestic departures from New Delhi have been grounded, while plans are underway to cancel 102 flights at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Similar cancellations include 30 flights from Goa's Dabolim airport. The Airport Authority of India has issued advisories urging travelers to verify their flight status before traveling to the airport.

The disruptions stem from recent DGCA regulations that increased mandatory rest periods for pilots and limited night landings, which has significantly affected airline operations. IndiGo has informed regulators that full resumption of services is expected by February 10, but the current situation is uncertain as the airline struggles with technological and operational challenges.

The impact on the company has been reflected in a decline in share prices and on-time performance, with less than 10% of flights arriving on time on Thursday. Passengers across multiple airports have voiced frustration over the airline's inability to communicate effectively or provide alternative arrangements. The airline continues to manage the crisis as regulatory bodies and affected passengers await a resolution.
