Qantas has announced a modification to its flight operations involving its Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Effective immediately, the airline will incorporate a fuel stop at Singapore Changi on its long-haul route between Perth International and London Heathrow. This change is a response to regional conflict in the Middle East that has prompted flight path adjustments for safety and operational efficiency.

The airline emphasizes that other scheduled routes, including those between Singapore and London, will continue unaffected. The decision underscores the airline's commitment to safety amid geopolitical tensions, ensuring the continuation of reliable service for passengers traveling between Australia and Europe.

Qantas has also reaffirmed its operational stability, with a fleet comprising 194 aircraft based at Sydney Kingsford Smith, serving 109 destinations on 247 routes, and operating nearly 880 flights daily. The airline continues to adapt its flight paths to safeguard its operations while maintaining its extensive global network.
