Riyadh Air is preparing to launch a series of 15 destinations as part of its Northern Summer 2026 schedule, according to Airport Coordination Limited’s S26 Start of Season Report. The airline aims to expand its network through slots at King Khalid International Airport (RUH), covering destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The initial routes include Manchester, London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Cairo, Marrakech, Amman, Jeddah, Islamabad, Dubai, Mumbai, Lhasa, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Jakarta, Malang, and Kuala Lumpur. However, the report indicates that route launches are subject to aircraft delivery timelines and operational considerations.
Founded in March 2023 by the Public Investment Fund, Riyadh Air has ambitious plans to establish itself as a global airline recognized for quality onboard experience and connectivity. The airline aims to connect Saudi Arabia with over 100 international destinations within the next decade and is a key part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 economic diversification strategy. The airline’s fleet will include new-generation aircraft such as Airbus and Boeing models, which are expected to facilitate the expansion.
The report highlights the airline’s strategy to build a strong international presence, leveraging significant investment and a growing fleet. Although some routes may face delays or adjustments, Riyadh Air’s plan reflects a strategic push to position itself as a major player in global aviation, supported by future aircraft deliveries and infrastructural development.
