Asian airline TransNusa has expanded its presence in Australia by integrating with the country’s Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) through Sabre, allowing travel agents to issue tickets directly and earn a standard three per cent commission. This move is designed to streamline the sales process and enhance service efficiency for Australian travel advisors, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s regional growth.
The Jakarta-based carrier now operates 17 weekly flights between Perth and Bali, with plans for four more weekly flights starting in July. From Bali, travelers can access TransNusa’s expanding network, including destinations in China, Malaysia, and Singapore. The airline also plans to launch the only direct route between Australia and Lombok in early 2026, further strengthening its regional connectivity.
Strategic Importance and Future Outlook
"Being live in BSP via Sabre makes the product far more accessible to agents and underpins our plans to grow TransNusa’s presence in the market,"
said Tony Wilson, General Manager of Aviation GSA Services representing TransNusa in Australia.
This milestone enhances the airline’s ability to serve Australian travel trade more effectively and supports its regional expansion ambitions. The move is expected to benefit travel advisors by providing easier ticketing options on a growing network, contributing to TransNusa’s strategic growth in Australia and Southeast Asia.
