Vietjet has announced a strategic partnership with Airways Aviation to train the next generation of aviation professionals, aiming to build a globally competent talent pipeline. The agreement, signed during an official visit in Finland and witnessed by Vietnam's General Secretary, will see Airways Aviation collaborate with Vietjet's own Aviation Academy to deliver international-standard pilot training programs in Europe.

These programs will adhere to the standards established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV). Included are courses such as the Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), designed to produce highly skilled pilots for Vietjet’s expanding international network across Asia Pacific and Europe.

Supporting Growth and Talent Development

This initiative aligns with Vietjet's international expansion, including increased flight frequencies on routes such as Singapore–Da Nang and Singapore–Phu Quoc. The airline currently employs over 9,000 staff from more than 60 nationalities and operates a fleet that is among the youngest in Asia. Its training division, VJAA, is an IATA-accredited provider based in Vietnam, committed to developing aviation professionals including pilots, engineers, and flight attendants.

"This partnership will significantly improve our pilot training standards and support our goal of expanding internationally,"

said To Lam, General Secretary of Vietnam.

With Airways Aviation bringing over 45 years of experience across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, this collaboration aims to create new pathways for students to access globally recognized certifications, fostering growth in the regional aviation sector. Overall, the alliance reinforces Vietjet’s commitment to talent development amidst rising air travel demand, ensuring the supply of skilled pilots for future international routes.
