ABC International has partnered with WeSky to install a new-generation in-seat power system on an Airbus A330 aircraft, enhancing passenger amenities. The project, approved under an EASA STC, involves integrating WeSky’s Recharge 60W USB-C in-seat power units across both Business and Economy Class cabins on MSN 1037, accommodating 305 passengers with advanced USB outlets.
The aircraft’s electrical infrastructure was extensively reworked to support the new system, including rerouting cabling and modifying seats for compatibility. WeSky supplied the necessary hardware and wire-harness kits, supporting ABC International through the integration process to ensure a seamless upgrade. This collaboration aimed to reduce weight and improve efficiency, with the system offering up to 60W power per outlet supported by the PPS protocol.
