The Abra Group is planning to expand its airline portfolio by incorporating SKY Airline, following a preliminary agreement signed by both parties. This strategic move is subject to approval from competition authorities, and aims to bring SKY Airline into the group alongside airlines such as Avianca, GOL, and Wamos Air, which are linked through strategic investments.
During the regulatory approval process, SKY Airline will continue its operations independently, maintaining its internal processes, sales channels, and services. Once fully integrated, the airline will retain its brand, culture, and personnel, while contributing to the group’s regional network.
Expansion and Connectivity
Holger Paulmann, President of SKY Airline, stated that the airline will become part of a larger entity operating over 300 aircraft and connecting more than 140 destinations in over 25 countries. This integration is expected to provide passengers with more routes and travel choices, while preserving the airline's identity and operational autonomy.
This strategic expansion signifies a strengthening of the group's presence within South America, aiming to boost connectivity and fleet capacity across the region.
