AFI KLM E&M and AAR have finalized their strategic partnership to establish xCelle Asia, a new joint venture located in Chonburi, Thailand. The company will focus on the overhaul and maintenance of nacelles for next-generation aircraft, supporting engines such as GEnx, Trent 1000, and LEAP-1A. This move marks the companies' expansion into the Asia-Pacific market, aiming to provide localized, high-quality MRO services for regional airlines and operators.

The new venture builds on the success of their existing xCelle initiative in the Americas, created in 2021 through collaboration and acquisition. Benjamin Moreau, Senior Vice President Strategy and Business Development at AFI KLM E&M, highlighted that establishing xCelle Asia is a significant step to strengthen their global nacelle support network. He emphasized their commitment to innovation and operational excellence tailored to the dynamic aviation environment in Asia.

Jim Berberet of AAR expressed enthusiasm for replicating their success in North America by combining AAR’s component services with AFI KLM E&M’s extensive international reach. The partnership aims to deliver advanced nacelle support closer to customers in the Asia-Pacific region, reflecting a strategic commitment to growth and service excellence in the aviation industry.
