Air Corsica has announced the successful completion of the first phase of its transformation plan, which focuses on workforce reduction agreements, requalification programs, improving service quality, and expanding its route network. Executives disclosed at a recent press event that the carrier aims to increase seat capacity, primarily from its base in Ajaccio, as it prepares for future growth domestically and internationally.

The company has indicated that the most significant effects of their restructuring are expected to materialize in 2026, with the goal of achieving a positive financial result by 2027. This strategic initiative is part of their broader effort to modernize operations and strengthen their market position.

Chairman Pierre Muracciole emphasized that these changes will enable Air Corsica to better serve its routes, including those to Paris Orly, and to expand its fleet, which currently consists of 13 aircraft. The airline plans to leverage its plans for route development and fleet expansion to enhance connectivity for passengers and support tourism growth.

Industry analysts view the carrier’s transformation as an essential step toward maintaining competitiveness amidst a rapidly evolving aviation sector. With these measures, Air Corsica aims to capitalize on emerging opportunities and reinforce its role as a key regional player in France and beyond.
