The Indian national airline Air India has introduced a new family-oriented service initiative called "Cloud Chasers." Aimed at enhancing the travel experience for children aged three to nine, the program features specially designed activity kits distributed on long-haul flights exceeding eight hours. These kits include puzzles, coloring pages, and interactive games, further supported by expanded in-flight entertainment tailored for younger passengers.

The airline’s efforts extend beyond entertainment, with operational enhancements such as priority boarding, dedicated assistance at major airports like Delhi and Mumbai, and onboard amenities including bassinets and pre-ordered children’s menus. Staff training specifically focused on handling underage travelers ensures that family passengers receive attentive service throughout the journey. This initiative coincides with fleet upgrades, including the phased deployment of Airbus A350 aircraft with improved cabin layouts to boost passenger comfort.

Industry analysts view the "Cloud Chasers" program as a strategic response to India’s rapidly expanding aviation market. By focusing on family comfort and convenience, Air India aims to increase its market share on international routes to North America, Europe, and Australia. The integration of these services signifies a broader transformation under the Tata Group’s leadership, blending operational efficiency with enhanced passenger experience to bolster its global competitiveness.
