Airport Dimensions has launched its Blue Sky Premier Lounge at Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, Indonesia, marking a significant expansion of its regional presence. The new lounge, designed to reflect Surabaya’s heritage with warm woods and batik motifs, spans 462 square meters and accommodates up to 101 guests. It offers an array of regional and international cuisine, including local specialities such as Rawon Surabaya and Batik-themed decor, blending Indonesian culture with modern hospitality standards.
The lounge is divided into zones to support both work and leisure, featuring social spaces, live-cooking stations, and private areas. Visitors can enjoy premium coffee, a professional bar, and communal dining experiences. According to Sucin Rahayu, Director of PT Bumi Liputan Angkasa, the lounge aims to showcase Indonesian hospitality while meeting the evolving needs of international passengers, including spaces for relaxation and productivity.
Accessibility and Future Outlook
The Blue Sky Premier Lounge is open to all travelers regardless of airline or class of ticket. Access is granted to Priority Pass members, LoungeKey users, and walk-ins for a fee. Airport Dimensions' President, Errol McGlothan, observed that Surabaya is emerging as a key hub in Southeast Asia's international connectivity, with growing demand for quality airport amenities that cater to diverse traveler expectations.
This development underscores the ongoing investment in passenger experience by airport and hospitality providers across Indonesia's expanding air transport network.
