SAS Cargo has announced the appointment of Allied Aviation as its General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA) for the Indian market. The partnership aims to support the launch of the airline’s new Mumbai to Copenhagen route, scheduled to commence on October 1, 2026. The service will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft, which will connect Indian exporters directly to Copenhagen and allow SAS Cargo access to a broader network across Scandinavia.

Allied Aviation, with offices in key Indian cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram, will oversee cargo sales, supervision, and revenue optimization for the route. According to Kritika Seth, Executive Director of Allied, the company’s extensive relationships within the Indian freight forwarding community will help develop demand for the new flights, which target high-value cargo segments such as pharmaceuticals, perishables, engineering goods, machinery, garments, and e-commerce shipments.

The collaboration signifies SAS Cargo’s broader strategy to enhance its global footprint through regional partnerships and local support. The Airbus A330 aircraft is expected to provide efficient and reliable cargo capacity, facilitating better integration for Indian businesses looking to access Scandinavian and European markets. This initiative reflects the importance of strengthening international trade links and expanding SAS Cargo’s presence in India’s growing air cargo sector.
