In September 2026, Alpha Aviation Group (AAG), an international pilot training organization, celebrated the graduation of 12 pilots from its airline-focused programs in the Philippines. The ceremony, held on September 19, marked the culmination of the Airline Pilot Program (APP) and First Officer Transition (FOT) courses, designed to prepare pilots for careers in commercial airline operations.

The Airline Pilot Program offers a comprehensive pathway, combining initial ab-initio training with advanced airline readiness courses, including a pathway from private pilot licenses to commercial qualifications. The First Officer Transition program facilitates career progression for pilots transitioning into airline roles, often involving Airbus A320 type-rating training for existing CPL holders and graduates.

Captain Stanley K. Ng served as the Guest of Honor and delivered a keynote speech at the graduation, inspiring the new pilots as they advanced into professional aviation careers. The event coincided with AAG’s strategic restructuring of its Philippines operations, which now operate across three key hubs: Clark, La Union, and Bantayan Island. Clark University supports ground and simulator training, while La Union and Bantayan Island provide additional ab-initio and navigation instruction.

Earlier in September, AAG broke ground on a broader expansion project in Cebu, including an Integrated Training Facility at Magay Resort and a dedicated hangar at Santa Fe Airport. This development builds on the February 2026 launch of the Bantayan Island flight training operations. The Clark facility is equipped with Airbus A320 and A330 full flight simulators certified by CAAP to support type-rating activities, reflecting the group's growing capabilities.

Founded in 2005, Alpha Aviation Group has trained over 2,000 pilots across its operational bases in Asia-Pacific regions. Its curriculum ranges from initial pilot licenses to type ratings and airline transition courses, utilizing aircraft such as the Cessna 172 and Tecnam P2006T, complemented by sophisticated synthetic training infrastructure.
