First Aviation Services, a provider of aircraft component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), has reached a definitive agreement to be acquired by Ametek, a global supplier of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices. This strategic transaction aims to expand Ametek’s presence in the aviation MRO market.

Post-acquisition, First Aviation will operate under the leadership of President and COO Paul Bolton within Ametek’s North American Business Unit. Bolton expressed confidence in Ametek’s capacity to support the company’s ongoing growth, highlighting the alignment of industry expertise and resources.

David A. Zapico, Ametek’s CEO, noted that First Aviation complements their existing MRO platform by broadening their market reach and enhancing their product offerings for mission-critical applications. The deal leverages both companies’ operational strengths, aimed at accelerating growth in the aviation sector.

Company co-founder and CEO Aaron Hollander expressed gratitude for his team’s efforts over the past 30 years and optimism about the future. Hollander will assume the role of chairman at First Equity Group following the transaction, signaling continued leadership and commitment to industry contribution.
