Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced a change in its top leadership, with Juichi Hirasawa set to assume the role of president and chief executive officer from 1 April. Hirasawa, a veteran executive who has been with the airline since 1986, currently serves as senior executive vice president at ANA Holdings. His extensive experience includes overseeing industrial policy, government affairs, and economic security, and he has been a key figure in strategic management during the pandemic period.

Shinichi Inoue, the current president, will transition to a senior advisory role within ANA Holdings. The company will assign Hirasawa's previous responsibilities to other senior executives: Katsuya Goto will assume oversight of network planning, and Shinichi Hayase will oversee government and industrial affairs, as well as economic security. This restructuring aims to enhance ANA’s strategic focus as it continues to recover and expand in the competitive aviation industry.

The management reshuffle marks a strategic move by ANA to consolidate leadership among experienced executives. Hirasawa's appointment reflects the airline's confidence in his leadership to steer the company through industry uncertainties and toward future growth opportunities.
