Astral Aviation Limited, a prominent cargo airline headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, has entered into a Cargo General Sales and Service Agency (GSSA) agreement with TAM Group, based in Hong Kong SAR. The partnership, effective from November 1, 2025, aims to bolster the airline's sales and customer engagement in the East Asian cargo market, promoting connectivity between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
According to Mr. Sanjeev Gadhia, CEO of Astral Aviation, the partnership leverages TAM Group’s strengths in market expertise and customer networks in Hong Kong and Macau to facilitate the airline's expansion in Asia. He emphasized their commitment to developing robust trade lanes connecting Africa with key Asian logistics hubs.
Mr. Anindam Choudhury, Vice President – Commercial of TAM Group, expressed pride in representing Astral Aviation, highlighting their focus on promoting cargo services in strategic markets and providing seamless freight solutions between Asia and Africa. The agreement is set to run until October 31, 2027, aligning with Astral’s global expansion plans to improve service reliability and accessibility across its intercontinental cargo network.
