Aurrigo International has appointed aviation operations expert Mark Gower as its new Director of Global Airport Operations. This newly created role aims to support the company's transition from pilot deployments of autonomous airport vehicles to scaled commercial services. Gower brings over 25 years of experience in managing safety-critical airport operations, including senior leadership roles at Gatwick Ground Services and Aviator Airport Alliance, where he led large workforces and complex operations.

The appointment coincides with Aurrigo's expansion into high-volume autonomous vehicle manufacturing at its new 130,615 sq ft facility in Coventry. The facility is designed to accelerate production of vehicles such as Auto-DollyTug®, Auto-Cargo®, and Auto-Shuttle®, serving as the UK hub for engineering, testing, and deployment. Mark Gower's expertise will be instrumental in building a standardized global operating model as Aurrigo moves toward full-scale commercial deployment.

“Mark's extensive background in airport operations will be a valuable asset as we scale our autonomous solutions and expand our deployment programs,” said Prof. David Keene MBE, CEO of Aurrigo. His arrival signals a strategic push toward more efficient, safe, and scalable autonomous vehicle operations in the aviation sector.

This development also marks a key milestone in the company's growth trajectory, with multiple live deployments already underway. The Coventry facility’s infrastructure, including test tracks and manufacturing lines, is fully equipped to support rapid growth and ongoing innovation. Industry observers see Gower’s leadership as a significant step toward the mainstream adoption of autonomous technology at airports worldwide.
