Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has announced the acquisition of a 24-aircraft portfolio from Avolon Aerospace Leasing, including 18 narrow-body and six wide-body aircraft. All of these planes are equipped with new technology, and the fleet has an average age of approximately four and a half years as of early 2026. The aircraft are leased to 17 airlines across 16 countries, with four new customers added to ACG's portfolio. According to Thomas Baker, CEO and President of ACG, this strategic move underscores their focus on proactive aircraft trading as a core growth pillar. He noted that acquiring these high-demand aircraft strengthens their global leasing operations and fleet sustainability, which is among the youngest in the industry. Ross O’Connor, CFO of Avolon, highlighted that this transaction extends their strong trading relationship with ACG and indicates continued demand for leased aircraft in the market. This deal complements a previous transaction involving a 19-aircraft portfolio from Avolon, reinforcing the partnership. As the global aviation market continues to evolve, ACG's diversification and strategic acquisitions position it strongly for future growth.
