February 2026 has seen significant activity across the aviation industry, with numerous deals, expansions, and technological advancements. AerFin acquired an Airbus A330 with GE CF6 engines, enhancing its widebody portfolio. Jet2.com completed a retrofit program on Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, adopting fuel-saving winglets and reducing emissions. Uganda Airlines grounded two Airbus A330-800 aircraft for maintenance, reflecting ongoing fleet management efforts.

Etihad Engineering secured UK approval for technical training programs across critical aircraft platforms, complementing its existing certifications. West Star Aviation announced the expansion of its Chattanooga facility, set to boost capacity and create up to 200 jobs. Meanwhile, leadership changes occurred at Egyptair Maintenance & Engineering, with Mohamed Samy appointed as CEO.

Further developments included Air Montenegro’s engine overhaul agreements with Lufthansa Technik, Magnetic Trading’s acquisition of Airbus A320-214s for teardown, and the receipt of Leap engine spares by AFI KLM E&M. FL Technics finalized its acquisition of Job Air Technic to expand capacity.

Satys completed its takeover of Sabena Technics’ aircraft paint facilities at Cornebarrieu, France. Chorus Aviation pursued its growth by acquiring Kadex Aero Supply, a distributor of aircraft parts. Setna iO purchased an Airbus A330-200 from Qatar Airways for disassembly, while EirTrade Aviation acquired two A320neos for teardown purposes.

Support initiatives remained prominent, including Saudia Group’s adoption of defect analysis software and Airbus’s extension of its Skywise contract with Palantir. Maintenance contracts included Joramco’s agreements with various clients and Airnorth’s fleet support with Embraer. ATS signed an LOI with DHL for parts provisioning, and HAECO supported GE90 engines under new agreements.

In cabin modifications, ST Engineering worked on Airbus A330neos for Airbus Defense and Space. Lufthansa Technik and Flyadeal renewed inspection contracts, and Xiamen Airlines extended engine support for Leap engines. Shockingly, companies also dismantled aircraft like an Airbus A319 and an A321 for parts. Virgin Australia adopted Embraer’s predictive maintenance system, while Japan Airlines signed a comprehensive Airbus A350 support agreement with Safran.

Seattle Aviation Solutions acquired a Boeing 737-800 for teardown, and Air Premia entered a long-term maintenance agreement with Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen for their Boeing 787-9 fleet. Support and upgrade activities included AkzoNobel’s expanded approvals, Liebherr’s partnership with Röder for E-Jet landing gear, and EFW’s cabin upgrade program for Lufthansa’s A380 fleet. ST Engineering announced a combined airframe and nacelle MRO center, and GATES expanded services for Leap engines. TimeTooth received approval for aircraft seating manufacturing, supporting regional and OEM clients in their maintenance and overhaul needs.
