Aviation Week Network has announced the recipients of its 68th Annual Laureate Awards, celebrating groundbreaking achievements across the global aerospace sector. The awards will be presented on March 19, 2026, at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, during a ceremony that will also honor lifetime accomplishments and emerging leaders among students and young professionals.
The award categories include Commercial Aviation, Defense, Space, Business Aviation, and MRO, with additional honors for Lifetime Achievement and the Pathfinder Award. The Laureate Winners are recognized for pioneering innovations, including LATAM Airlines Group CEO Roberto Alvo for commercial aviation, Boeing's Thrust Link Fix Team, and aerospace executives Tufan Erginbilgic of Rolls-Royce and Steve Parker of Boeing Defense.
In the defense category, notable recipients include L3Harris Technologies' Red Wolf missile, Rafael and Mafat’s Iron Beam air-defense system, and Ukraine’s Darknode drone interceptor unit. Space winners encompass Axiom Space for private astronaut missions, Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket, and Boeing’s X-37B spaceplane. The awards also recognize significant contributions in business aviation and maintenance sectors, as well as emerging leaders and lifetime achievers who have transformed the industry.
These accolades highlight the ongoing advancements in aerospace, reflecting collaborative efforts, technological breakthroughs, and leadership that shape the future of aviation and space exploration. Additionally, the event spotlights the ‘20 Twenties’ initiative, honoring young STEM students making significant strides in the field.
