Belair Airways has resumed its scheduled flights from Port Vila to Tongoa after a temporary suspension caused by safety concerns raised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vanuatu. The authority had previously deemed the aerodrome unsafe due to livestock repeatedly entering the runway, leading to a halt in services since April 15, 2026. The airline now operates the route three times weekly onboard a Britten-Norman BN-2 aircraft.

The airline emphasizes its dedication to safety and adherence to regional aviation standards. The resumption of flights restores vital connectivity for residents of Tongoa and nearby communities, supporting local transport and economic activity.

Official updates on safety measures and flight schedules are available via Belair Airways's communications channels, reaffirming its commitment to operational integrity and regional service continuity.
