Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport Owen Darrell, recently conducted important meetings with senior airline executives from American Airlines and British Airways to discuss Bermuda’s air travel capacity, scheduling, and future connectivity. The discussions took place at the airline's headquarters in Dallas, Texas, and in London, United Kingdom, emphasizing Bermuda’s ongoing commitment to strengthen air service partnerships.
The meetings were part of Bermuda’s broader strategy to support the reopening of the Fairmont Southampton hotel and to foster long-term relationships with key airline partners. Minister Darrell was accompanied by members of the Bermuda Air Service Development Team, including officials from the Bermuda Airport Authority and Bermuda Tourism Authority. These high-level discussions aimed to enhance Bermuda's airlift to bolster tourism and economic recovery.
