The Blackhawk Group has announced its acquisition of Silver Sky Aviation, an Alaska-based maintenance and service facility. This move extends TBG’s Performance Center Network to six locations, marking a significant expansion into the Alaskan market, where turboprops are vital for operations in the region’s cold and demanding environment.

Silver Sky has developed a strong reputation for supporting aircraft such as King Air, Caravan, Kodiak, and PC-12, including Blackhawk and Finnoff performance upgrades. Chad Cundiff, CEO of The Blackhawk Group, remarked that this acquisition provides an opportunity to enhance support for regional aviation operations and to accelerate technological and service capabilities in Alaska.

Aaron McCarty, the owner and founder of Silver Sky, expressed enthusiasm over the merger, emphasizing their commitment to safety, reliability, and expanding their technical support. The integration of Silver Sky into TBG’s operations aims to benefit local operators by providing more comprehensive services and fostering employment growth in the region.
