Bluebox Aviation Systems and Tigerair Taiwan have announced a new partnership to introduce wireless in-flight entertainment across the airline's Airbus A320 fleet. The deployment will leverage Bluebox Wow, a portable wireless platform, to deliver a variety of digital content directly to passengers' devices, marking Tigerair Taiwan's first use of an in-flight entertainment system.

This new system aims to enhance the onboard experience, featuring a broad content lineup including regional favorites and Hollywood movies. The initiative will initially serve all 17 Airbus A320 aircraft operated by Tigerair Taiwan and is expected to expand to include digital retail services in a subsequent phase, further boosting onboard ancillary sales.

Kevin Clark, CEO of Bluebox, stated that their solutions allow airlines to quickly implement modern digital services without the complexity of traditional installations. Bernard Hsu, Tigerair Taiwan's Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized that this move supports their goal of providing a simple, accessible digital experience for passengers, marking a significant step in their service evolution.

The partnership signifies a push toward digital transformation in the airline's onboard offerings, with plans for future enhancements and collaborations announced in the coming weeks.
