Bombardier, a prominent manufacturer in business aviation, has announced the integration of a new Smart Router system into its Challenger 650, Global 5500, and Global 6500 jets. Developed in partnership with Collins Aerospace, this technology aims to significantly improve in-flight connectivity, offering features such as Wi-Fi 6, 5G cellular, and enhanced security protocols. The Smart Router is designed to seamlessly work with existing airborne systems, providing reliable internet access during flights and enabling remote troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Peter Likoray, Senior Vice President of Aircraft Sales at Bombardier, emphasized that the new system underscores the company's commitment to advancing aviation technology. The Smart Router is expected to become standard on all new aircraft in production by 2026, and existing aircraft owners will have the option to upgrade at authorized service centers. This development marks a notable step toward ensuring that Bombardier's aircraft remain industry leaders in connectivity, security, and passenger experience.
