October 10, 2026 — Breeze Airways commenced its new nonstop service between Dayton International Airport (DAY) and Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL), yesterday, October 9, 2026. This new route inaugurates Breeze's presence at Dayton International and is the first of four planned new services from the airport before the end of the year.
The new Dayton-Fort Lauderdale service operates twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, with one-way fares starting from $49. This expansion is part of Breeze Airways' strategy to offer direct flights from underserved markets, providing more affordable travel options for passengers.
The Fort Lauderdale route is a significant step in Breeze Airways' commitment to the Dayton community. Following this launch, the airline plans to introduce additional nonstop destinations from Dayton. Later this month, service to Fort Myers, Florida, is scheduled to begin. In November, Breeze will add Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, to its Dayton network. A BreezeThru service to Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida, is also planned before the end of the year.

Local officials have expressed optimism regarding Breeze Airways' arrival in Dayton. Gil Turner, Dayton International Airport Aviation Director, noted the strong community interest since Breeze's plans were announced in June. Jeff Hoagland, President and CEO of the Dayton Development Coalition (DDC), highlighted the positive impact on the region's transportation infrastructure, emphasizing the added convenience for both business and leisure travelers.
Breeze Airways utilizes a fleet primarily composed of new Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The airline emphasizes a "Seriously Nice" flying experience with offerings such as free family seating, fast onboard Wi-Fi, and customizable booking options.
