CAE has commenced pilot training for Bombardier’s new Global 8000 business jet, marking a significant step towards the aircraft’s scheduled introduction into service. The training program, to begin at CAE’s Montreal facility in December and expand to other locations, aims to ensure that operators are fully prepared for the aircraft’s operational debut. CAE, as Bombardier’s Authorized Training Provider, leverages advanced simulators, courseware, and expert instruction to mirror the aircraft’s performance.

The Global 8000 is recognized as the fastest business jet with the lowest cabin altitude available in the market, according to Bombardier. Alongside pilot training, CAE is offering extensive maintenance programs, including differences training through Computer-Based Training (CBT) and Ground School courses for engine and crew resource management for aircraft technicians. These programs are delivered across CAE’s training centers worldwide.

Enhancing Safety with Industry-Standard Procedures

In addition to technical training, CAE published the Airplane Standard Operating Procedures manual, developed in partnership with NBAA, to promote safety and operational consistency within the business aviation sector. The SOPs are tailored to support smaller fleets managing of two or fewer aircraft, facilitating safer operations industry-wide. The new standards will be incorporated into training sessions beginning summer 2026, with CAE preparing instructors to ensure seamless integration.

Overall, CAE’s initiatives demonstrate its commitment to advancing aviation safety, pilot proficiency, and technical support, reinforcing its role as a key partner in business aviation training and safety standards.
