Cathay Pacific has launched a new seasonal route connecting Hong Kong and Adelaide, offering thrice-weekly direct flights. This move aims to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between Asia and Australia, providing improved travel options for passengers and freight.
The airline's Airbus A350-900 aircraft operates this service, providing a high-end experience with fully flat beds in Business, spacious Premium Economy, and an award-winning Economy cabin. Travelers can access inflight entertainment, meals designed in collaboration with Michelin-starred Hong Kong restaurants, and Wi-Fi connectivity, which is currently complimentary for certain premium customers.
Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of Adelaide, noting the city’s vibrant offerings and history with the airline since 1992. She highlighted the opportunities for visitors to enjoy the city's culinary delights, wine, and natural attractions, both in Adelaide and through connections to other destinations.
Alongside services to Adelaide, Cathay Pacific currently flies to six Australian cities and operates close to 100 returns weekly across Oceania in the winter season, supporting robust regional connectivity and trade relations.
