Norwegian has officially received its first Boeing 737-8 aircraft from CDB Aviation, a major milestone in the airline’s ongoing fleet renewal strategy. This delivery is part of a leasing agreement signed in December 2024, which involves four aircraft intended to bolster Norwegian’s Scandinavian operations.
The leasing arrangement was facilitated by CDB Aviation, the Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing, marking its first aircraft placement with Norwegian.
“We are pleased to mark the delivery of our first Boeing 737-8 with CDB Aviation,” said Norwegian Chief Executive Geir Karlsen. “This represents another important step forward in our ongoing fleet renewal.”
Karlsen expressed the airline’s appreciation for its partnership with CDB Aviation, highlighting the strategic importance of expanding and modernizing its fleet to meet future demand.
