Cebu Pacific has opened a state-of-the-art training facility designed to support the development of its aviation workforce, including pilots and cabin crew. The Cebu Pacific Training Academy, officially launched on April 27, 2026, spans 1,685 square meters and features advanced equipment such as Airbus A330 and ATR door trainers, cabin mock-ups, and simulators. This dedicated center enhances the airline's ability to provide scenario-based, hands-on training under the guidance of in-house instructors.
The project, which took three years from inception to completion, underscores Cebu Pacific's long-term commitment to cultivating local aviation talent. The facility also includes a maintenance learning center and future plans for additional simulation equipment, aiming to elevate operational standards and workforce professionalism. Cebu Pacific’s leadership highlighted that the academy serves as a symbol of national pride and a platform for raising aviation standards in the Philippines.
To bolster its talent pipeline, the airline has reintroduced its Cadet Pilot Program in partnership with Airworks Aviation, providing mentorship and direct employment pathways. The airline also actively recruits cabin crew to support its expanding network, which now covers 35 domestic and 26 international destinations. Despite industry headwinds, Cebu Pacific’s CEO, Mike Szucs, expressed confidence in the airline’s resilience, citing strong financial health and experience navigating previous crises as key factors for future growth.
