China Aviation Aftermarket Holdings (CAAM), a subsidiary of China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC), has announced a strategic partnership with China Resources Recycling Group International Investment (CRRG International Investment). The agreement aims to jointly develop solutions for the aviation aftermarket, emphasizing aircraft component recycling, disassembly, and lifecycle management.
This cooperation seeks to establish a sustainable ecosystem covering the import, asset management, disassembly, and recycling of retired aircraft. CAAM, which specializes in managing mid-life and end-of-life aircraft assets, will leverage CRRG’s expertise in resource recycling and international trade to promote a circular economy model within China’s aerospace sector.
Environmental and Industrial Significance
The partnership aligns with China's dual carbon goals by reducing resource consumption and supporting environmentally sustainable growth. It also aims to enhance operational efficiency and maximize the residual value of aircraft assets through innovative end-of-life solutions.
"This collaboration marks a significant step toward sustainable aircraft lifecycle management and positions CAAM as a leader in global aerospace recycling solutions,"
By integrating the capabilities of both organizations, the alliance is poised to accelerate the development of advanced aircraft recycling technologies and foster industrial upgrades within China's aerospace industry. This initiative signifies China's broader efforts to promote environmentally responsible manufacturing and resource utilization in aviation.
