Chongqing has announced the release of two aviation industry lists aimed at attracting partners from Singapore and ASEAN countries. The lists include 30 investment projects with a combined planned investment of approximately 5.87 billion yuan (roughly 823 million USD), covering sectors such as aviation manufacturing, maintenance, logistics, low-altitude applications, tourism, and training. These initiatives were disclosed on September 28 by the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission under the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity.
The lists also feature 45 local products and services from leading companies in Chongqing, designed to expand overseas markets and connect locally developed technologies with international markets in Singapore and ASEAN nations. The activities aim to strengthen cooperation and facilitate targeted investment promotion, boosting the region's aviation sector via more efficient project implementation.
A spokesperson from the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission stated that the lists clarify the city's needs and offerings, creating a more structured platform for international cooperation. Chongqing and Singapore plan to leverage these lists to accelerate collaborative efforts, attract investment, and promote promising projects within the aviation industry. This development underscores the ongoing efforts to deepen regional economic ties and foster technological exchange in the aviation sector.
