Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX, has announced the securing of orders for its Helix™ main cabin seating from three international airlines. These orders encompass approximately 200 aircraft, including models from the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 families. The seats are tailored to enhance passenger comfort and ergonomics while supporting the evolving needs of narrowbody airlines.

The industrial design of Helix merges form and function, aiming to optimize weight reduction, design simplicity, and cost efficiency. Currently, the seats are in development with deliveries scheduled to begin near the end of 2027, and the product is on display at the Aircraft Interiors Expo this week.

RTX, which employs over 180,000 people worldwide, is committed to delivering innovative solutions that drive sustainable and interconnected aviation operations. The company’s focus includes passenger safety and comfort, space exploration, and defense systems.

These developments underscore RTX's strategic investment in next-generation aircraft seating technology, aiming to meet airline demands for durability, efficiency, and passenger experience enhancements.
