Comlux Aruba has announced the addition of a Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft to its managed fleet, marking the first unit of this ultra-long-range jet registered in Aruba. The aircraft, registration P4-8000, departed Bombardier's Montréal Trudeau production facility on March 16 for Gander, conducting base training before flying to its next destination at Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini.
This new arrival is a separate unit from another Global 8000 ordered in late 2025 and scheduled for delivery in 2026, which will be based in Dubai and available for charter. Instead, the newly inducted aircraft will be exclusively managed by Comlux Aruba. The Global 8000 joins other aircraft such as an ACJ320-200N, a B767-200ER, and a B787-8, reflecting the company's diverse fleet for private and humanitarian missions.
The B787-8, configured for up to 237 passengers, operates from Buenos Aires and is utilized for humanitarian flights for Solidaire, an organization founded by Argentine-Italian actor Enrique Piñeyro. Piñeyro, who also has a background as an aeronautical physician and pilot, emphasizes the importance of specialized aircraft for humanitarian aid.
Within the broader group, Comlux also manages aircraft like the Global 6000 and Global 6500 through its Malta division, and operates various aircraft from Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Pilatus. Only two Global 8000 jets are currently active worldwide, including the one in Aruba and the world’s first Global 8000 registered in Canada, along with a Global 7500 upgraded to a Global 8000 in Australia.
