Dassault Aviation's Falcon 6X has celebrated its second anniversary in service, with a fleet of over 20 aircraft worldwide and more than 5,000 flight hours logged. The manufacturer is actively pursuing certification for operations at high-elevation airports, including those with steeper approach slopes. Recent testing has focused on enabling the aircraft to operate at altitudes up to 14,000 feet, with successful trials conducted in La Paz, Bolivia.

Carlos Brana, Dassault's EVP of civil aircraft, highlighted that ongoing enhancements include dual head-up displays (HUDs) and higher certified landing altitudes. The aircraft's capabilities for steep approaches have been validated without significant modifications, emphasizing safety features such as oxygen mask functionality in high-altitude environments.

Connectivity and Operational Flexibility

Connectivity features are also a focus for Dassault, with high-speed systems like Honeywell's Jetwave X and Starlink providing broadband-like internet, catering to the needs of modern business travelers. Brana underlined that these systems ensure consistent connectivity in remote or challenging airport environments, making the Falcon 6X a versatile and reliable platform for various missions.

As Dassault advances the certification processes and software features, the Falcon 6X continues to position itself as a high-performance, elegant aircraft capable of operating in demanding conditions around the globe, reaffirming its status as a capable workhorse with advanced comfort and safety features.
