Diehl Aviation has announced the opening of a new leased warehouse in Nyírbátor, Hungary, aimed at supporting its growing aircraft manufacturing activities. Located near their main production facility, the 3,000-square-meter site enhances the company's supply chain capacity, allowing it to store up to 5,700 pallets and bolster automation and scalability in logistics operations.

This strategic expansion comes amid a global increase in aircraft demand and higher production rates across industry programs. By establishing this secondary site, Diehl Aviation aims to reinforce its supply chain resilience, secure material availability, and support the ramp-up of its key aircraft programs, particularly single-aisle models that are experiencing increased demand.

Supporting Production Ramp-Up and Workforce Growth

The Nyírbátor facility is fully integrated into Diehl’s logistics system and complements their manufacturing operations, which employ approximately 1,300 staff in Hungary at both Nyírbátor and Debrecen. The company produces cabin interior components including sidewalls, door frames, insulation, and lavatories, with two large lavatory production lines now operational in Nyírbátor and Hamburg, positioning them well for upcoming increases in aircraft assembly activities.

Jochen Klink, Chief Operating Officer of Diehl Aviation, emphasized that the new warehouse will enable the company to meet rising program volumes and support future production rate increases, thereby strengthening their regional manufacturing and logistics capabilities. The initiative underscores Diehl’s commitment to maintaining a reliable, efficient supply chain as the aviation industry continues its recovery and growth trajectory.

Overall, this expansion represents a significant step in Diehl Aviation’s strategic plan to improve operational flexibility and resilience in a dynamically evolving industry landscape.
