Fort Walton Beach, Florida—Dzyne Technologies has demonstrated the ability to conduct flights of over 60 hours with its ULTRA Turbo aircraft, a heavily modified glider designed for high endurance missions. The recent test, carried out for the U.S. Air Force, signifies advancements in persistent military surveillance capabilities. The aircraft, which flew at 25,000 feet and 115 mph, was equipped with imaging systems and showed potential for even longer flights, possibly reaching 80 hours.
The demonstration underscores Dzyne's focus on developing uncrewed aircraft for long-duration reconnaissance and surveillance in contested environments. The company’s emphasis on extending operational endurance aligns with global defense needs for persistent observation and rapid resupply.
In addition to flight endurance tests, Dzyne has been active in deploying autonomous cargo systems like the Grasshopper, which can deliver supplies over hundreds of miles. With continued innovation and testing, Dzyne aims to expand its role in military and international markets, supporting the future of long-endurance autonomous aircraft.
