Japan Airlines (JAL) and Embraer have renewed their support partnership via a multi-year Pool Program agreement, aimed at providing comprehensive maintenance, repair, and spare parts support for 32 E170 and E190 aircraft. This initiative seeks to enhance fleet reliability and operational responsiveness in the Asia Pacific region by ensuring rapid access to critical components through a substantial inventory close to the airline's regional bases.
Since initiating operations with E-Jets in 2008, JAL has depended on these aircraft to support its regional network across Japan. The extended agreement confirms their ongoing commitment to operational excellence, with JAL's fleet delivering a 99.8% service reliability over six months. Embraer’s local ecosystem, which includes dedicated personnel and a regional distribution center with over US$120 million in parts, as well as simulators and Authorised Service Centers, is designed to deliver swift support wherever needed.
