Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has entered into cooperation agreements with five companies owned by the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), aimed at strengthening collaboration in the aerospace and defence sectors. These agreements come at a time when Poland is significantly increasing its defence budget, planning to allocate 4.8% of its GDP to military expenditure in 2026.

The agreements cover various areas including operational support, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, as well as components manufacturing and supply chain solutions. Both parties will also explore opportunities in the design, development, production, engineering, and testing of aerospace products, with a focus on technological transfer and quality certification.

"Embraer and PGZ will assess opportunities for industrial cooperation in the aerospace sector," PGZ stated, without revealing financial details. The cooperation may facilitate technology transfer, certification processes, and innovative technological development, broadening the scope of industrial and aerospace collaboration between Brazil and Poland.

This partnership is part of Poland's broader strategic move to bolster its defence capabilities through international cooperation, in response to perceived regional threats. Embraer’s involvement symbolizes a valuable contribution to Poland's aerospace industrial base amid its increased defence spending and strategic ambitions.
