Emirates Airline Achieves Record Profits and Expands Fleet Amidst Market Growth

The Emirates Group has announced its financial results for 2025-26, highlighting a record year of profit, revenue, and cash reserves. The airline reported a profit before tax of AED 24.4 billion (US$ 6.6 billion), up 7%, and revenue of AED 150.5 billion (US$ 41.0 billion), increasing by 3%. Its cash holdings also grew significantly to AED 59.6 billion (US$ 16.2 billion). These figures confirm Emirates’ position as the world’s most profitable airline, with consistent financial growth and operational excellence.

In addition to its robust financial performance, Emirates focused on expanding its fleet and network. The airline delivered 15 Airbus A350 aircraft during the year, now operating 19 of these advanced jets across 21 destinations. The company announced plans to purchase new aircraft, including Boeing 777-9 and A350-900 models, valued at over US$ 41 billion, with deliveries until 2038. Its global network grew to 152 cities in 80 countries, with new routes to Da Nang, Hangzhou, Siem Reap, and Shenzhen. Through strategic partnerships and codeshare agreements, Emirates enhanced its connectivity to over 1,700 cities worldwide.

Passenger and Cargo Operations

Passenger figures reached 53.2 million, with a marginal decline of 1%, amid capacity adjustments. The Passenger Seat Factor was 78.4%, with passenger yield increasing by 4%。The airline upgraded its onboard experience by installing Starlink Wi-Fi on 21 aircraft and refurbishing 91 aircraft with new cabins, including premium economy seats. Emirates SkyCargo transported 2.4 million tonnes of freight, expanding its network to 44 points with a diversified fleet of 13 Boeing 777F freighters. The cargo division contributed substantially to revenues, emphasizing Emirates’ integrated logistics capabilities.

Overall, Emirates' strategic investments in fleet modernization, digital connectivity, and global expansion lay a solid foundation for future growth. The airline’s focus on operational efficiency and customer experience underscore its leading position in the aviation industry, ensuring resilience amid fluctuating market conditions.
