Emirates Enhances Service to Cairo with Additional Flights
Emirates has announced plans to increase its flight frequencies between Dubai and Cairo, Egypt. Starting December 1, 2025, the airline will add six weekly flights on this route, scheduled to maximize network connectivity and meet seasonal demand. From February 1, 2026, Emirates will operate a daily flight service using a Boeing 777, offering improved schedules and options for passengers.
Cairo has been a significant hub for Emirates since the airline’s inception in 1986. Currently, the Egyptian capital is serviced by multiple flights daily, with the expansion making it the most served city in Emirates' African network. This development reinforces Emirates' commitment to the Egyptian market as it approaches 40 years of service there, and highlights the strategic importance of Cairo’s connectivity for both leisure and corporate travelers.
In addition to passenger services, Emirates SkyCargo will increase cargo capacity to Cairo, handling 300 tonnes weekly via the belly of Boeing 777 aircraft. This allows Egyptian exporters, including fresh produce such as strawberries, to access Emirates’ global network efficiently, fostering stronger trade relations.
Commenting on the expansion, Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, underscored Cairo’s importance as a gateway. He expressed gratitude to Egyptian authorities and emphasized Emirates' dedication to strengthening economic and tourism links between Egypt and the UAE, especially as the airline nears its 40th anniversary serving Cairo.
